About Adit Limited

Adit Limited was formed in 1988 to provide software development services for mid-range computer systems. Adit quickly built a prestigious client base amongst plc's, national agencies and similar substantial commercial organisations.

Adit is defined by the dictionary as a horizontal access shaft into a mine. We thought the name seemed symbolic, representing the desire to cut through complex mountains of business data and processes to deliver direct, simple and effective software solutions (it's also short, easy to spell and gets us near the top of most alphabetical listings).

Adit Limited has a division that specialises in the development of ecological, biological and wildlife recording and mapping software.
