• Use a Multi-access Key. Enter measurements and Characters from your specimen into list of illustrated Characters, so that AditKey can  compare your Characters to those in the database and match it to the most likely Species
• Set your confidence level in each Character as you enter them!
• Use a Dichotomous Key. Follow a route through a Dichotomous Key, selecting which of a pair of illustrated descriptions fits your specimen
• Jump back to any part of the Key at any time and, if you are unsure which of the pair fit, follow several paths through the Key simultaneously
• View the list of Species that currently match your specimen  at any point in the completion of a Multi-access or Dichotomous Key
• Keys may include one or more genera.
• Where there are several genera, choose to include all of them in the Key or limit to a particular genus

Species Descriptions

• View a complete description of the Species that has been identified by the Key
• Descriptions can be illustrated with pictures of the Species, its habitat and its distribution
• Jump directly to other similar Species that may be confused  with yours
• Use the Diary to save personal notes that may help identify  each Species
• View a list of all the Species in the Key and jump directly  to their descriptions.
• Use AditKey as a reference book.
• Record Sightings of identified Species through a dynamic link into AditSite, our wildlife recording package

Creating a Key

• Create your own Keys following a series of easy-to-follow  steps
• Enter a list of Genera
• Enter a list of Species
• Build a Species list via dynamic link to AditSite (our wildlife recording system)
• Enter the details of each Species (description, confusing  species and illustrations)
• Create a Multi-access Key by entering a list of characters and then assigning a value for each Character to each Species
• Create a Dichotomous Key by entering a list of Character pairs and then assigning a value for each Character to each Species
• Add illustrations to the list of Characters as required
• Allow other users to modify your Key after distribution, or  protect it so that only you can update it
• Distribute your Key using the simple Export facility
